A4
ALL>FOURS is the working title for the audio/visual output of Eric Blevins which rose from the ashes of veneer which was formed in 1982 (two channel stereo recordings).
Frequent collaborations in Johnson City (1983-1984) with James Ellis (Magnetic Stripper) resulted in several hours of live improvisation and subsequent studio recordings under the moniker Absolute Ceiling. Shortly thereafter, A4 began an intensive series of projects with Tom Cox (tac).
In 1986, Blevins relocated to Knoxville TN and formed Suitcase Recordings during the summer of 1987. It was during this period that A4 collaborated with other artists through the mail – Frans De Waard (Kapotte Muziek), Shaun Robert (factorX), Rudolv Eb.Er (Runzelstirn & Gurgelstock) and Ron Lessard (Emil Beaulieau, Due Process).
After moving to Atlanta in 1994, A4/suitcase soon began an extensive working relationship with Abo (Mark Schomburg) of Yeast Culture (Petri Supply/Incubator).
Collaborative recording projects are currently in the works with two new artists and possible live performances loom on the horizon…
